State of Health and Wellness in Black America - (Workshop 2)
Studies reveal that some U.S. cities have HIV and AIDS rates that rival small developing nations. When those numbers are broken down even further, they show how racial minorities are disproportionately impacted by health crises like HIV, cancer, diabetes, mental health issues, obesity, and other illnesses that diminish quality of life. Experts and practitioners will go beyond the numbers and the problems to talk solutions. What are tangible, everyday steps that Black, Latino, and other minorities can take to better care for themselves and their families?
