Simone Smalls
Simone Smalls is the Co-Founder and Partner of Strategic Heights Media, a full-service public relations and experiential marketing agency that specializes in building brand strategies and experiences that drive engagement with consumers and brands.
Her clients include The American Black Film Festival, COMCAST, BET, WE TV, TV ONE, ASCAP, WEEN Awards, Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon, ABFF Honors and more.
Prior to forming Strategic Heights Media in 2015 with her business partner, Smalls ran her own company, Simone Smalls Public Relations, Inc. — an award-winning entertainment public relations and strategic marketing agency that she founded in 2008.
Representing an array of the most prominent names in music and entertainment, Ms. Smalls is widely recognized as the architect behind the success of pop superstar Usher, transitioning him from a teen R&B singer to one of music’s biggest global talent brands. She was also responsible for launching, a then 15-year old newcomer named Justin Bieber as Usher’s new artist and protégé.
Before launching her own company, Ms. Smalls worked in various executive positions in the public relations field; becoming the first African-American Senior Vice President at a New York based music and lifestyle publicity agency. Prior to that she held various positions in the fashion industry.
Ms. Smalls volunteers her time to educational, cultural and faith-based causes; and mentors young girls and students to strive for excellence and realize their full potential for success. She is a graduate of Fashion Institute of Technology and resides in New York City.
