Richard Price

Professor, Minister

Richard Price is a professor at the forefront of higher education and a full-time minister.  He served as a tenured adjunct professor in the School of Social Sciences at the College of New Rochelle’s School of New Resources. He recently accepted the full-time minister position at the Historic North Greene Street Church of Christ in Tupelo, MS. 

Price is a 2017 candidate for the Doctor of Ministry degree in Community and Faith Leadership at the New York Theological Seminary.  

He has been recognized for community leadership in The New York Times, the Huffington Post, NPR, and other media outlets. Price holds membership and affiliations in a variety of academic and civic organizations, including the American Historical Association, the NAACP, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and many others.

In 2008, he formed The Richard Price Group LLC, an organization that seeks to work alongside community organizers and faith leaders to positively impact young men and women. He has presented and provided extensive foster and adoption training workshops and lectures, as well as academic lectures in over 15 universities and colleges.

Price was honored with a prestigious federal education accommodation and selected by the U.S. Department of Labor to serve as its 50th year commencement speaker.
