Isoul Harris is the editor-in-chief of UPTOWN, a national luxury lifestyle magazine. A former public school teacher, Harris has served as a managing editor of Los Angeles based entertainment and fashion glossy 944, entertainment editor of Niche Media’s Atlanta Peach, and as entertainment editor of Upscale magazine. He has also worked as a reporter for People magazine and is currently a columnist/contributor for The Huffington Post. Harris’s work has been featured in The New York Post, InStyle, Vibe and MSNBC.com.
A pop culture expert with over a decade of media experience, Harris has appeared on CNN, Good Morning America, FOX’s Good Day Atlanta and London’s hit music docu-series Real Stories. He is the host of the UPTOWN Studio show, ICONIC, where he interviews past and present icons that influence pop and urban culture. He has interviewed some of the biggest names, such as Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, “Diddy” Combs, Beyoncé, and many others.
As a lifestyle and travel journalist, the New York City resident has trekked around the world, from Brazil to Bali, and covered exotic destinations.
His first book, 2013’s Nicki Minaj: Hip Pop Moments 4 Life became one of the top-selling music books on Amazon.com upon its debut.
