Emmitt Smith, Jr. is Senior Vice President and Business Banking Manager for Wells Fargo Bank for Maryland. Smith has 19 years of banking experience with expertise in Wealth Management, Business Banking and Middle Market Banking. Prior to rejoining Wells Fargo in 2013, Smith served as Senior Vice President for the SunTrust Private Wealth Management Group for Greater Washington and Maryland. In that role, he was a Senior Client Advisor with a focus on the Healthcare segment. He also served as Head of Business Banking for 3 years for the Greater Washington & Maryland Division at SunTrust. Prior to joining SunTrust, Smith served as Senior Vice President, Affluent Credit Services for Wachovia Wealth Management.
Active in the Washington, D.C. and Maryland communities, Smith serves as a charter volunteer with Project Give Back to go along with his 23 years of service as a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Omega Chapter.
Smith holds a B.A. in Telecommunications Management from Howard University, where he was captain of the football team two years and four year starter at Inside Linebacker. Smith also earned his MBA from Brenau University. Emmitt currently holds his Series 7 and Series 66 Securities registrations with Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC.
