Elijah-Williams
Elijah J. Williams currently serves in the Obama Administration as Senior Advisor for Government Contracting and Business Development at the U.S. Small Business Administration. His responsibilities include managing over $90 billion in federal small business supply chain and contracting policy implementation across the federal government.
Formerly, Williams was appointed Senior Advisor in the Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Headquarters. Williams worked in a several Government Affairs and Contracting Officer roles for NASA in Houston, Texas and Huntsville, Alabama. In those roles, he was responsible for cultivating relationships with elected officials at the federal, state, and local levels of government, and conducting contract negotiations on multi-billion dollar NASA acquisitions.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Williams earned degrees from Xavier University of Louisiana and Texas Southern University, and a legislative certification from Georgetown University. He is an active member of the American Society of Public Administration, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, and a graduate of National Urban League’s Emerging Leaders Program. Williams is most interested in the intersection of government, business, and community and how policies impact the average citizen.
