Support Service Manager, Supplier Diversity and Diversity Outreach/Shell

Donovan Casanave is the Support Service Manager for Shell Supplier Diversity and Diversity Outreach.  In this capacity, he serves as the liaison between the small, minority- and woman-owned business community and the internal procurement/leadership pipeline, with a focus on Shell’s inclusion efforts. He also manages the relationships between Shell, key non-government organizations (NGOs) and community-based non-profit organizations such as The National Urban League, Rainbow Push Coalition, Asian Chamber of Commerce, and several others.

Casanave joined Shell in April 2001, as a Category Manager in what was then known as Strategic Sourcing.  In this role, he was responsible for engaging with numerous internal Shell businesses to support Shell’s streamlined approach to the reduction of vendors – while still maintaining healthy relationships that focused on reputation management.

Casanave has held various roles in corporate America, as well as city and multi-government through his previous role as a team member of the Office of the Mayor of Houston, TX. In a prior life, Casanave was a professional athlete who played internationally in more than 7 countries before he was 27. Casanave sits on several committees, local boards, and is an active member of The 100 Black Men of America – Houston Metropolitan Chapter.
